It will take place on June 17, from 9:30 to 13:30, at the MediaTIC facilities. This position corresponds to COOLING PHOTONICS.

We are looking for a motivated research engineer to contribute to solve the challenges of characterizing our coatings in relevant environments. Ideally, the successful applicant has experience in thermal engineering, instrumentation, thermal photonics, renewable and clean energy. The main goal is to implement and perform outdoor field tests on our passive cooling materials, and contribute in the design and analysis of tests adapted to pilot projects with the industry. The applicant will participate in a project involving interactions with industry, market and research. Planning, experimental method development, instrumentation, carrying out of planned and new experiments, analysis of data and reporting of results are an integral part of the activities associated with the position.As a Field test Research Engineer, you will be in charge of the experimental characterization of radiative cooling materials. The optical properties of these coatings are characterized by spectroscopy (UVVIS and IR) and the thermal performance by outdoor field tests that monitor the temperature and net cooling power with respect to a reference. You will be responsible for the planning, preparation, execution, data analysis and reporting of field test activities for Industrial and academic projects.
Academic Training:
A BSc or Master degree in electric/thermal engineering, physics, nanotechnology, or equivalent. Background in thermal engineering. Good understanding of the related material properties and cooling technologies is essential while, experience in photonics and instrumentation is a plus. Demonstrated experience is a plus. Excellent written and spoken English. Spanish is a plus.
