IRB Barcelona is seeking a Bioinformatician for the MS & Proteomics Core Facility (MSPCF).

The MSPCF is a leading lab in the field of mass spectrometry and proteomics. We are a team with extensive experience and a high level of excellence in proteomics. Our lab is provided with cutting-edge instrumentation and methodologies. We provide an integral support to reveal the role of proteins in multiple biological systems. We offer a professional and personalized proteomics service at the forefront of biomedical and translational research, being available to the IRB scientific community and to public or private spheres.

DUTIES:
- Provide support in proteomics data analysis: Develop and implement data analysis workflows and visualization tools for mass spectrometry and proteomics experiments.

- Perform statistical and high-throughput proteomic data analysis both by bottom-up and top-down proteomics. Functional analysis of proteomic data, functional classification and pathway analysis.

- Develop or improve existing workflows for proteomics quantitative data analysis.

- Help with the storage of big data, and with the maintenance of software for facility management.

- Train the members of the MSPCF in the use of dedicated software and data analysis workflows.

- Provide expert advice in the domain of bioinformatics to the IRB scientific community and collaborators.

• Type of contract: Full-time (to be defined)
• Working hours: 40 per week (This position is thought to be hibrid, with a total of 30% of teleworking).
• Work timetable: 08:00/09:30 - 17:00/18:30; Fridays and Summer time: 08:00/09:30 - 15:00/16:30
• Salary (or salary range): 26.000 - 30.000 (Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications)
