Descripció de l'oferta

This offer is part of the Talent Music Tech Marketplace organized by Barcelona Activa in collaboration with BARCELONA MUSICTECH HUB.

Only people who meet the profile requested by the company will be notified.

The pre-selected people will receive an email from Barcelona Activa with the confirmation of attendance and organizational details.

Once pre-selected, your availability will be required for the Marketplace: Friday May 9, from 10h to 13h, *location to be determined.

 

 

As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in BMAT, supporting a software team in achieving its objectives. Your contributions will directly influence/impact BMAT top of mind goals, making you an integral part of our team. We are the Operating System of the music industry

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimise performance and ensure reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and methodologies.

Collaboration and Team Dynamics

You will collaborate closely with the software team, operations team, and DevOps team in order to achieve the quarterly goals. These collaborations are pivotal for achieving our organisational goals and ensuring effective communication and alignment across different areas of the company.

Expectations of the role (only for new positions)

Within 30 Days:

During the first month, your primary focus will be on familiarizing yourself with essential aspects of the role and supporting foundational tasks.

Onboarding and Training:

  • Complete the company’s onboarding program.
  • Familiarize yourself with the company’s mission, values, and development process.
  • Understand the tools, technologies, and frameworks used by the development team.

Team Integration:

  • Meet team members and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings and Agile ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning).
  • Start building relationships with your colleagues.

Initial Contributions:

  • Review existing codebases and documentation.
  • Begin working on small, assigned tasks or bug fixes to get hands-on experience with the code.
  • Seek feedback and ask questions to understand best practices and coding standards.

BMAT has defined for each month an increase of functions depending on the adaptation to the company and your job. Within 90 Days.

    Gross annual remuneration: salari range 26k a 54k

Requisits

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Django) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and openness to feedback and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamics and foster a supportive work environment.
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in Catalan is highly appreciated, also in Spanish but not mandatory.
  • The role is located in Barcelona. Local candidates are preferred, but remote work arrangements may be considered.
