FUNDACIÓ PASQUAL MARAGALL-Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center is seeking to fill 1 position for the following role: RESEARCH NURSE

• The BBRC is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse motivated by research and equipped with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team of medical and research professionals. The selected candidate will report clinically to the Nursing Team Coordinator and, for management-related matters, to the Head of the Clinical Operations Office.

  The Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for performing the clinical procedures required by each protocol, with a strong focus on participant safety and well-being. The nurse will ensure that the dignity, safety, health, and confidentiality of participants are prioritized at all times.

   

  Main Responsibilities

  • Specific responsibilities will follow the guidelines of each protocol and include:
  • Contacting potential study participants
  • Performing required assessments: anthropometric measurements, vital signs, or electrocardiograms
  • Sample management: collection, processing, storage, and logging of biological samples
  • Lumbar puncture support: assisting the medical team during lumbar punctures
  • Following up with participants to ensure their well-being and protocol compliance
  • Completing case report forms
  • Updating study databases
  • Collecting required participant information
  • Responding to emergency situations according to applicable standard procedures
  • Using clinical judgment, skills, and knowledge to provide high-quality care to participants in research projects

Characteristics of the Position

• Starting date: Immediate

• Permanent Contract

• Full-time position, 38 hours weekly.

• Salary will depend on experience and will be in accordance to the BBRC's reward Policy and Development Plan. 

• Flexible Compensation plan (meal card, health insurance, kindergarten). 

• Holidays: 23 working days proportional to the date of hiring. Furthermore, other extra calendar days such as long weekends and days in March-April and December.
