This job offer is part of the JOB MARKET PLACE managed by BARCELONA ACTIVA with the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) in which several R&D companies will participate. It will take place on June 17, from 9:30 to 13:30, at the MediaTIC facilities. This position corresponds to Joltech Solutions.

Role and Tasks: We have developed and is now starting to commercialize a revolutionary new process to manufacture electrodes and coating solutions for the electrolyser and fuel cell industries.The Catalyst Coating Technology Unit is the R&D core of the company.The main areas involved include inorganic chemistry, material science, catalysis, and electrochemistry. Here we shape innovative products, for a sustainable future and work with internal partners and customers. In our Catalyst Coating Technology Unit, you will develop new catalytic materials and technologies and optimize existing electrochemical catalysts for industrial scale processes.
Responibilies: Design competent cathode catalyst for alkaline electrolyser conditions. Perform electrochemical studies (CV, LSV, EIS, Tafel Analysis). Structural and morphological analysis (PXRD, SEM, TEM, ATR-IR). Evaluate experimental results and write reports.Organization and optimization of the laboratory workflows. Responsibility for compliance with work, safety, and environmental protection regulations. Based on your expertise, you will initiate research projects and drive them forward with determination.
Qualifications: Successfully completed PhD in chemistry, electrochemistry, or material science.Excellent English communication skills, Spanish and/or Italian is a plus. Familiarity with standard software used in chemical research.Knowledge of electrochemical reactions and understanding of water electrolysis.
